Desired Start Date: 3/1/08
This position reports to the VP Operations.
The responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Provide customer service support to SPOT Image Corporation clients and key business partners.
- Proactively communicate with customers about products, pricing, orders, projects, use of data and provide first level of technical support.
- Work with clients and key business partners in order to determine the best product solution for their application.
- Assume responsibility of orders from time of first inquiry through sale and shipment to follow-up with client.
- Follow up with clients on all quotes, plots, orders and inquiries.
- Work closely with account managers, project managers, satellite programmers and SPOT’s parent company in Toulouse to provide necessary sales support for projects.
- Complete preparation for, enter and track all orders.
- Keep daily detailed account of all transactions with clients via Microsoft CRM.
- Provide support to marketing out-reach activities - Lead follow-up after shows, mailings, etc.
- Travel occasionally to client sites, trade shows and France for training.
The requirements for this job are as follows:
- 2 years experience in Inside Sales/Customer Service
- 2 years experience in Windows environment; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, some experience with GIS software i.e. MapInfo and ESRI ArcView desired
- Bachelor's degree required; focus on Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing desired
- Candidate must be approachable, personable and able to work with many different personalities
- Must have exceptional problem solving abilities and good critical thinking skills.
- This is a detail oriented position so applicant must be organized, and have great attention to detail
- Candidate needs to be a team player
- Good phone skills a must
- Ability to travel occasionally.
