The exploitation of the Spot System is handled by two entities: CNES and Spot Image.

CNES is directly responsible for the in-orbit control of the satellite and the execution of the acquisition plan by the satellite,

The Spot Image headquarters in Toulouse, France, is in charge of the definition of the daily activity plan of the satellites, the reception of the images, the processing of the image telemetry to update the catalogue and the production and development of products.
